2003 Chinook Premier - no factory generator

The brown/black/yellow/red/orange small gauge wire bundle looks like the one that went to the remote start and hour meter for my Onan (wired in by Chinook with that bundle).

(Always cracks me up that they caulked to carpet ) (such as where that bundle exits by the outside wall)

That is good news. How about wiring for the remote switch near the driver seat, wiring for the remote by the closet near the smoke detector? The one by the driver seat can be a pain to fish the wire if Trail Wagons did not have the wiring there already.

Im thinking those wires laying the closet are for that - I have not traced them yet - Still debating on which generator route to go - Onans can be noisey... I may custom build in a honda -

Honda is much better quality. Definitely show us how you do this with pics and all. I would love to learn.

I think FatBuoy has a picture of what the wiring of the genset looks like above the closet area. See if they matches what you have. Hopefully it does, since it will save you a lot of hassle.

If their is a way to do a Honda in your Chinook I would go that route. Looking forward to see how you go.
FWIW My home generator is a Honda EU6500i and works flawlessly every power outage. It is also super quiet.
