Microwave/Convection oven replacement options

Post by pdemarest »

Hi - been on this forum a while and finally bought a 2003 Chinook Premier V-10 with only 22K miles. Its in the shop now having some things fixed and there are two items that the service center can't fix: The Sharp microwave display is burnt out (I understand this is a Chinook tradition) and the back dual pane window is fogged out. Thanks to the forum I'm aware that Motion Windows in WA can deal with the window but there seems to be no way to fix the microwave and I would like to replace it with a non-convection microwave since our rig has an LP oven. Has anyone done this? Do you have the interior dimensions of the microwave cabinet? I'm not worried about the faceplate around the microwave as I have a cabinetmaker who can deal with that. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much - especially for the photos! These boards are a great resource - wish they had something like this for boats!
