Project Source “Tucker” Stainless Steel Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet (Single-Handle, Deck-Mount) – Installation Update

Post by M_MINCEY »

I recently completed another upgrade in the RV: replacing the original kitchen faucet, which had begun to fail after years of use. As many of you know, a quality pull-down faucet can get pretty expensive, so I aimed for a mid-range option that offered good functionality without breaking the bank.

My original setup used a three-hole configuration, but finding a direct replacement that matched the factory spacing was more difficult than expected. Instead, I opted for a single-hole faucet that includes an optional deck plate, allowing it to cover the extra holes cleanly. It turned out to be an excellent solution — the fit is solid, and the installation was straightforward.

While working under the sink, I noticed several areas with potential entry points for rodents or pests — gaps around plumbing penetrations and openings in the cabinetry I’d never paid attention to before. Thankfully, I’ve never had an issue in my rig, but identifying those gaps made me realize there are a few protective upgrades I need to tackle next.

For anyone interested in the faucet I used, it’s the Project Source “Tucker” Stainless Steel Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, which I picked up from Lowe’s as an open-box deal for $59. Not bad for a two-function pull-down sprayer in stainless steel. Its transitional design blends well with most RV interiors, and the included deck plate makes it compatible with both single-hole and three-hole sinks.

Another project checked off the list — and a few more discovered along the way.
