How much weight will our roofs support?
How much weight will our roofs support?
I'm planning on having my rig polished and protected soon and was wondering how careful my detailer has to be while crawling on the roof? I'm thinking that using a packing blanket with a piece of plywood on top would help distribute his weight . Any advice would help, I'd like to detail the entire top if possible.
Re: How much weight will our roofs support?
I have 3 people up there with no problem, but each of us weights less than 175 # each. It really depends on what you do up there. Definitely not good to jump up and down on a high heel. Using the plywood will be good measure, for sure. If it is not too much hassle. Just make sure the fellow wont slide off the plywood and hurt him self. If he is going to be on his knee most of the time, and stay off the cut outs in the middle, I think he will be fine.
