Rug runners

Bought some (ok,a bunch ) if rugs to cover the carpet. Before you laugh ,the alternative from the wife was plastic , yuck ! I tried them out with them just laying over the carpet , but that ended up becoming a tripping hazard so I used 1/2 inch wood screws with big heads to secure them to the floor.
