Need to replace my Trojan Batteries, thinking of buying an AGM. Will my Magnetek 7300 series work with the AGM battery?
Re: converter
I don't think the Magnetek is optimal for *any* battery! With that said, it probably will work alright for AGM for a while.

Re: converter
Many have replaced the Magnetek with the Progressive Dynamics 4645. I did so in 2015, and subsequently upgraded to AGM batteries inside the coach.
The PD is much smarter than the Magnetek, and many solar controllers are lots smarter yet, and programmable, for maintaining an optimal charge on your batteries. There are threads herein on the subjects, and it appears that the PD I bought is still for sale online, among others.
