Best headlight upgrade for 1998 Concourse Ford

Post by Flame »

I know Iv'e had people say for goodness sake please DON'T install LED headlights. I understand, this coming from a guy that at night oncoming headlights of any kind blind me but....I NEED to upgrade to something better so I can see at night. Please advise on what to purchase and why. And Happy New Year to everyone!!

I had great success with an LED Upgrade on my 2003 Ford chassis.
Headlight & side markers - came in a kit with everything. DIY install (as a novice) took me about 3 hours.
Makes the rig look a lot more modern day.

I don't remember anyone said don't get LED, but rather, don't get those that are above the legal brightness level, and aim too high at passing vehicles. :)

No, I am looking around too, just like you. There is someone on the facebook group that have something that seems to give a pretty good view, but I don't know if they are "street legal" at this point. If I do go ahead with that LED setup, I will make some comment on it after I tested it out. Maybe you want to be the guinea pig? :)

Ditto this recommendation, I have them on my 2001, work great, much better than stock, I got the Basic Plug and Play HID retrofit kit, sku 10133 - and the 4mm nut driver:)

I got, and installed, these. Like night and day! Ok, that was bad.

I had LED headlights installed on our 2004 Glacier, Ford E-450. I love them and have no complaints from approaching vehicles. Will do the clearance lights in the fullness of time.
