electric step 2003 concourse

Hi. I have read a ton of posts here about electric steps. I still have questions about the main feed. Starts at the Ford under dash fuse panel yellow wire 30 amp fuse bottom corner Ford says this fuse is for modified vehicle. Is that correct? Is there an inline fuse? I don't have power to the step switch. Power at the panel. Thanks in advance for your help. Mike
