Hi I am new here but not new to my 76 Chinook. It finally leaked on the drivers side big view window and it seems I have had a little rot going on there for a while. I will have to replace the wood window frame and probably most of that wall but the old girl is worth it.
It has the old silver aluminum windows much like this one:
I want to find the felts, gaskets and rubber seals.
I found a post here that listed these places:
1) Pelland enterprises
Hello, I am new to the board also, so welcome. I have the same type of windows in my 72. I wish I could tell you where to get direct replacement parts. eBay does have a variety of "slide window channels". If you have it out you may be able to match it. Good luck and if you find the outer rubber that sets in the window frame let me know.
One source I like to check in with when looking for something odd or scare is " all-rite rv " they have or make whatever you need. usually. But a good resource to tap from time to time for sure.
Update on this. I had no luck getting anything except the putty to reseal the window after removal. That said I have washed the motorhome twice now without the interior being finished and it doesn’t leak. The old stuff is still holding up even if it has shrunk.
The one glass guy I took it to said they just use butyl to hold the window in if they replace a broken glass pane.
