Swing away hitch for cargo box, bikes etc

Post by 68camaro »

Hi all, we recently purchased a Stowaway2 cargo box and swing away hitch frame for our Jeep to increasing carrying capacity (pics below). Since I was looking for some extra outside storage on Chinook I thought I'd see if the swingaway hitch extender would work. Aside from not lowering stairs, which is fine for me since I rarely use anyway, the swingaway arm clears steps and the braces clear my spare tire. Depending on size and dimensions of cargo box I get I may have to rearrange the two maxtrax recovery tracks I have mounted on spare.

Here's a few pics of frame. Nice thing is I have a lot of options on size box I want and ability to swing away doesn't get in way.
