Has anyone looked into replacement seat bottom and seat back foam and replacement covers for the front drivers and passengers captains seats?
If I wanted to order complete replacement seats is there a specific seat mounting configuration I need to look for?
Flexsteel foam and seat covers
Re: Flexsteel foam and seat covers
I haven't looked into it myself, but I believe I have read of people buying replacement foam from Flexsteel.
If a call to Flexsteel doesn't yield anything, you might also try Bradd & Hall. They sell oodles of RV seats (including Flexsteel) and are in the super-RV area of Indiana.
As far as getting new seats, these are mounted on the standard Ford bases (the ones that slope backward). So I believe you would just want any seat that fits a Ford base. Bradd & Hall have a selection - including still carrying one style I have seen in many Chinooks - you can see them on their website.
If you want to also make the passenger side a swivel, then you buy a swivel base, but the correct swivel base also accounts for the "slope" of a factory Ford seat base, so same seats.
The seatbelt pre-tensioners would follow along and go with your new seats.
