Oven installation
Oven installation
Mrs only wants an oven where cabinets below range is located in Concourse. I really prefer the Captain's chairs model, but can only locate dinette model with oven installed as original equipment. Has anyone ever had an oven installed where cabinets existed or know if it is possible ?

I somehow missed this post (maybe others did too)?
Anyway, my Club Chair layout Concourse did come with a range (meaning LP burners plus oven) located in the typical "stove position." I don't see why you couldn't add one to any similar-era Chinook. The propane line for the range connects up in the burner area just like the cooktop would (no separate gas line to the lower area). I believe mine is considered a 17" model (height). It left a fair bit of room above the wheelwell. I can look up which model if it comes to that (not that you would have to have the same model).
I did find a lot more dinette models for sale when I was looking (regardless of range configuration).
I ended up taking mine out (but maybe not forever) just because it makes you "lose" SO MUCH storage. Not just the oven space but all the space behind it that you can't easily access. Plus counter space if you don't need the full sized cooktop. That said, you may not need the storage, and it's nifty having an oven, especially in a small RV where you don't expect it.

I think the oven can be added. Mine does not have one, and I would like to have one when I don't need the storage space. I think I will miss it, however, since we carried a bit of pots and pan and cutting board and knives under the range. I may end up with a portable electric oven that I can use when I connect to electric, however.
