It is not possible to put rear spacer blocks on an e350 dually. It moves the rear spring up and the spring plate will then rub on your inside sidewalls. The e450 chinooks have a slightly wider axle which will allow the use of lift blocks which is what Quigley uses. They are perfectly safe and fine so long as you are using solid steel blocks with the nubs to fit on the axle and leaf spring, you use high quality grade 8 fine thread axle ubolts and everything is torqued properly. If you have an e350 you will have to buy new rear leaf springs with the lift built in.

Nice folks. Ive used them several times. Do RV work and a lot of trucks for area businesses so be prepared for your "non-critical" job to get bumped. Mine did by two days. Locally owned so it has that going for it...

Bill, I stumbled on to your post. I thought it was in General Chinook. Did you simply ( lol) change shocks, front coil springs and rear springs and hardware?
Did you modify your front end in any way? Any alignment problems you encountered? I would like to benefit from the hard work you have already done.

Yes, springs and shocks. Next stop is alignment shop. Do not anticipate any issues but we will see. Under 2" lift up front. The new rear springs make a HUGE difference in the ride of the rig. Feels like a new van. Drives great but then again 21 years and 235000 mile son the old ones...

Bill, just saw your 8/4 reply. Thanks for the info. I had looked up both the front coil spring (Moog) and the rear leaf spring (General Spring) and now just need to decide on what brand of shocks. Finished selling the old truck and slide in camper yesterday. Now I can devote my full time (lol) to getting the TURTYL all set for road adventures. I appreciate you and other members having written about your upgrades. Saves us newbies from re-inventing the wheel.

Merman0214, have you put the Moog's and new rear leaf springs on yet, did you decide on shocks? If so, are you running bigger tires than stock?

I was looking at Action Van lift but they use 3" blocks which concerns me, so I am looking at this alternative, at a minimum I want to run 235/85/16's.

Bill, my rig is at Roy's and very nice people. They finished my brake upgrade to Power Stop's, and should get new MorRyde Shear springs on tomorrow. I want to run 235/18/16, I know you did the 215/85's but do you think there is room in front and back for the 235/85's with the the Moog springs up front and The General Springs 10 leaf 5,000 springs in rear ( I believe this is your set up). Currently I have 5 spring pak in rear.

What did you ultimately gain in front/rear height with new setup?

Alternative is Action Van's or Weldtec's lift with 3" blocks or add $1500 - $2k more for custom leaf springs?

I can fit 235/85R16 in the rear with the new 5K 10-pack leak springs. Would need spacers to prevent tire rub. I like winter traction I get from the 215's and from postings on snowplowing forums think why mess with a good thing. I've never had to install my chains.
