Here is an easy thing to try that might fix your problem. Reverse the way you mount the roll, so it rolls off in the opposite direction. It could be the vibration causes the roll to rotate in a fixed direction. In your case, it unwinds. If you reverse it, it will wind instead, harmlessly. This method also works for cats who like to unwind toilet paper rolls. Flip it over, and they will wind it up instead. I know this is a very controversial decision, because some people cannot tolerate the having to roll the paper upward instead of downward! :?

Turning it "over" on the original holder on the door....you will still pull downward but just from the backside and not the front. But...it might just be enough "change" to solve my problem. I will try it next trip and be prepared to go to the ol'bungee cord. Seems like a wrote a "paper" on this when I was in college. Didn't get a very good grade. Guess what kind of paper I wrote it on?? Wait...what?

I have the holder that closes.

My bigger issue is that I'm getting much closer to the center of the "toilet paper of life" roll. :D

Well then Flame already covered that just above: Turn the roll around and let traveling (or the cat) roll it backwards

I use picnic tablecloth holders. Get the metal ones as the plastic ones tend to brake. They are real cheap at Walmart.

I also use the holders on the paper towels as we also had the same issue with them.

Don't leave me hanging guys!
Did reversing the roll fix the unravelling situation?
To be honest, it would not matter to me, I would still have to get the cover, as there is only one way a toilet roll should be mounted, and that is with the end on the

on the ??? what???

I think it is again sanitary, political, and moral standard to mount the toilet paper reversed.

Talking about that, there is a toilet paper holder in my house that is so slick that if there is more than three or four sheets hanging down, the weight of the paper will cause the entire roll to be unrolled. I had to put a masking tape on the top of the rod to give it more friction to stop this from happening.

Ha ha, I left my sentence unfinished just like this thread is lol.
My ex wife and I used to have this discussion.
Professional office cleaners will put the roll with it rolling over the top, but it seems some right brained individuals like it coming from under. Whatever works for unraveling!
I have since stopped caring actually. Just give me the quilted soft stuff and I’m happy.
