Lighted entry grab handle
Anybody know who the manufacturer was for the lighted entry grab handle?
Re: Lighted entry grab handle

Re: Lighted entry grab handle
The original rear entry handle on my 2004 Concourse has many visible cracks in the clear acrylic handle so I don't use it. Typical aging of materials on an RV. Over the past three years I've owned the coach I have been replacing exterior items in effort of maintaining the coach exterior. Things like this handle, the 120V exterior duplex outlet cover, awning endcaps, AC cover, both roof fan vent domes, etc.
I wanted to provide feedback on this vendor and the handle. The vendor was good it just took more time than stated but I believe that is because the auto-email of the order confirmation states 7-10 days to create the handle but it took much longer as they probably build up an order queue then run a batch of engraving jobs. I didn't sweat it and let it ride. Sure enough I got a shipping confirmation and the handle arrived. Ordered on 6/27/15, shipped on 8/4/15. The vendor and shipment are in Elkhart, IN which if you know anything about RVs that is RV and RV part manufacturer central.
The handle I ordered was the 5500 series curved 10" handle with options: lighted, black engraving, engraved with CHINOOK. The handle, chromed ends, gaskets, and engraving are a match for the original handle on my 2004 Chinook Concourse. The light is an LED (bonus). I suspect when I remove the original one that it will be incandescent.. The font and size of the engraving is identical. Price with the options was $71.95 + $7.59 shipping ($79.54 total).

I need some awning endcaps. Would you have a link and part number? Also, how easy was the duplex cover change? Wouldn't mind doing that as well and is it standard size?

Very interested in your install as I need a new one myself. I keep going back and forth as to what I want printed on mine. I was thinking of Chinook and my last name (which will fit). I'm not worried about resale and having my last name on it. Maybe someone would think it's the model! But I do plan on holding on to this a long time.

Yup, had to replace my shroud because it started shattering like glass in spots, replaced all the marker lights at the rear (all cracked and filled with water), currently missing an awning end cap, and noticing the exterior covers are quite weathered. I'll have to find a source for the last two probably sooner than later.
Your model year/build might be different but on my 04, even though the awning is listed on the build sheet in the closet as a "Horizon" or "A&E" the actual maker is Fiamma. I think Horizon was a reseller for the Fiamma product. There are Fiamma stickers all over the parts when you open up the awning and mine had a model sticker on outside of the leg that is at the cab and of the awning which stated it is a F45Plus.
Anyway, you can contact Fiamma in Florida to order new awning end caps. There were $11 each plus shipping when I ordered mine back in 2013. Well, I just checked the 2015 parts list and they are $20 each now.

Like most things on the exterior of the coach the exterior 120V duplex cover is a standard RV part available on the internet and at most RV stores. Removing and installing it is very similar to a home electrical outlet cover and can be done by anyone with a Phillips head screwdriver. This is the part info on the one I bought which was identical to the original cover and comes with a new foam gasket and screw.

Looks real good! Mine must have been hit by something because it has a shattered look. Kinda artsy, but something I'm going to replace. I forgot I asked about the awning endcap. Thanks for reposting the link.
