Welcome to new forum software

Post by Manitou »

Backend forum software has been updated to the latest version of code. I'll be tweaking the look and feel as I'm able. I'll try to get some updated "cool" chinook pics for the header thing (once I figure out how that rotation thing really worked.. I had a php guru friend do it for us years ago for the price of some drinks.. While we are still friends.. I don't leave near him anymore.)

Also ads will be back shortly as well. Sorry guys, but gotta pay the hosting costs.

Manitou--I like the update! I particularly like the way in which the topic and date of last post in each category is displayed at outset.

Am I correct in my understanding that you no longer own a Rig (recently read thread about your sale and the subsequent turn-around resale)? If such is case, I want to offer an even heartier Thank You for all that you do to keep this forum humming along. It is such an incredible resource for all of us Chinookers...so much more informative and organized than the sister Yahoo Forum that I peruse from time to time (compared to my addicted viewing of what goes on here).

I hope you never leave us!

Manitou....can you enlighten us on the "Tip Jar" (appearing in top right corner)?

I need some help with posting pictures. Is there a ‘Help’ section or tutorial section?

Give it a try and find out. haha.. joking. A long time ago 1 or 2 members commented on a topic where I spoke of the hosting costs. The topic of a "tip jar" came up. I'm playing with the 3 different images getting in the mix of pics right now. I'll probably back it off to just 1 once I figure out why Google ads aren't showing.

Correct, I no longer have a rig. I have day dreams of a new sprinter model some day, but it's more likely I get an old rig for cheap.. some day.

I'm new to this version of forum software too, but I see an "attachment" tab when I post... do you not? does it not work?

Geeze.. when I enabled ads, nothing showed up. Now on my iPad they are every fricken where. I’ll get it sorted eventually folks. Sorry for the over kill. I’m fighting user registration and anti-spam stuff as well.

At first I was freaking because of no "active topics" link to quickly see what's new, but it turns out to be under the Quick Links menu :)
