I’m just trying to figure out why they are so rare.
Thx!

Re: Anyone know how many Side Entry Chinooks were made?
I am wondering the same thing myself. Just as an observation I seem to see about 1 for every 100 chinooks I see for sale. (21 ft length) I have seen 2 for sale in the last year and they sold almost instantaneous. Anybody else have an opinion?
Re: Anyone know how many Side Entry Chinooks were made?
I have no idea how many were made. They were only made for a few years, I believe.
Just a guess, but the rear entry, small/efficient layout had been their stock in trade for decades. Maybe the side entry had a few too many compromises and/or was too similar to other Class C's (that were roomier in comparison) so they didn't sell all that well when they were new? Or maybe something happened to the mold and they just decided not to repair it. Or maybe they figured if people wanted a side entry they could buy one of the new slide models (I always forget the model names...).
If anyone knows for certain it would be interesting.
