IKEA Interior Remodel

Worked on some pluming tonight. Need a couple fittings and the sink and oven will be officially hooked up. We covered the backs of the dinette seats so I was finally able to start screwing the new pull out seat down. Gives over an extra foot of length for sleeping on the dinette now. Allows for a full size adult to sleep somewhat comfortable opposed to not at all with the original layout.

Made some good progress today, had to end the day early so we can go shovel the 6inches of snow we got at our properties. Tomorrow's another day, actually it's the last full day we have to work on her before we leave!

Got the bath door on, drilled in the push button door handles and somehow mixed up the sizes when I drilled the 2nd door and drilled it to big! Going to have to fab up a washer/spacer that's a little larger then the button to hide the mistake. Needed a small spacer anyway but was going to do it on the inside, oh well.

The video worked for me. I used Windows media player to view. Your upgrades look really nice. I continue to be impressed. (FWIW I was a carpenter a good portion of my working career.) The latches look cool.

I wish I was better at carpentry, most of the time I am short on the right tools for the job and patience. We're building a new house next year and I should finally have a decent garage/work shop to really dive into more carpentry projects.

Hard to say, didn't keep very good track of cost to be honest. The IKEA doors were the most expensive part. Would depend on which style doors you bought as there is quite a price range they run. Little did we know the Tan gloss ones we pick were literally the most expensive fronts they sell. The blue/grey ones were actually a lot cheaper!

Roughly I'd say cost looked like this for us

Cabinet fronts/doors- $500
Paint- $80
Oven- $250
Lights- $100
Pull out rack for cabinet were microwave was- $30
Countertop/dinette table- Free (Had them from a previous kitchen remodel)
Sink- $30
Faucet- $30
Materials for dinette pull out bench seat- $50
Flooring- $50
Cabinet hardware- $70
Wallpaper- $55
Fabric- $100
Misc hardware (wood,trim, screws, gas and water fittings,paint rollers, etc.) $100

Could be missing somethings but that's close to what everything was. If you weren't adding an oven or rebuilding areas it would cut cost. Also if you went with any other IKEA finish it would be cheaper.
