Window screen removal / replace

We are anxiously waiting for a pic or detailed explanation on that miracle cure to the screen problem.

I could not find the clips that fit in the slots that hold the window on the railing. I bought a piece of clear tubing, sliced it down the middle, then over lapped that on the railing. The screen frame fits over the tubing and the tubing holds the window in place without falling out. It doesn't seem to need any glue but if you open your screen windows a lot you might consider gluing the tubing. If this isn't clear, I will try an get you a picture.

I would be very grateful if you could post a photo or two. On my windows, the screen sits on top of a vertical "fin" on the window frame, with part of the screen frame coming down on inside (living space side) of that fin. So I can't figure out how to fit the screen back in once there is tubing on the "fin," or if I could, what would keep it from just falling into the coach.

What I'm not sure of is whether I'm just not getting it (entirely possible) or whether your windows are different than those that St. Tropez and I have. I'll post some photos of the ones we have.

Okay, here are a few photos of the SE-GI windows with impossible-to-find plastic screen clips on my 1999 Concourse. One screen is in place because I have enough clips to do ONE window. No cross ventilation for me until I figure out a way to keep the other screen in place.

First photo is the window with no screen in place. This shows the "fin/track" that the screen rides on. Click to enlarge.

Next we have an end-on photo showing a window with the screen in place, riding half on top of, and half in front of the interior side of the "fin/track" (and held on by my one remaining precious set of clips).

And another photo showing it from the inside, again with the screen in place.

Can only add three photos per post, so the next post will have a photo of one of the precious clips (takes 5-6 of them to hold the screen in properly).

Here is one of the clips. As you can see, it looks like a long extrusion that is "sliced" into clip length sections. What the clip does is allow the screen to ride only on top of, and on the room side of the "fin/track." Without the clips, the screen frame just falls into the room (there is nothing on the living space side of the fin/track to hold it on without the clip).

Tim, is this what your windows and screens look like? If the 1/4" tubing trick will work, you'll have at least two grateful Chinookians.

PS: I have been wondering if someone could 3D print these from a sample (sent with $2000 insurance of course ). I don't know enough about it to know whether or not it's possible/practical.

This is a grainy photo of my old 2004 Concourse window track (SE-GI windows). It didn't have clips for the screens (unless they were at the top of the window frame?). They sat inside of a track/channel and not on top of a fin edge.
