Lounge folding table 1998 Premier question

Post by Roly »

Greetings. I pose a question for anyone who has messed with the folding table assembly. The type that lifts up then slides into a casing. I wonder how it is secured to the cabin side. I leaned on it too hard and broke the top off, and now need to rebuild and reinforce it.

Any suggestions? I'm sure other such have broken as the construction is light.

Thanks, Roly

Hey Roly,

My ’94 had a faux oak luan panel pin-nailed to the main carcass, and the carcass was screwed to the wall. I gently pried the panel off, and the rest was easy.

When the table was in the out position, I used a short curtain rod under it so the floor would support the load. The original cantilevered design was flimsy.

There are square-hole screws holding in the whole table assembly. As I recall, there are two on the top flange, and two in the floor on the bottom of the wine cabinet. It's not hard to get out if you find all of the screws.
