One other issue I've had with RV refer's is that soot can build up in the flue and not allow propane operation until cleaned but will work with 110 power. Just thought I'd throw this out. Glad you resolved your issue without spending any money!

I'll have to get me some chimney sweep tools and do that maintenance too!
