Hi All - I'd like to ask if anyone in the group [particularly in the Texas area] might be interested in co-purchasing 130W semi-rigid (walkable) solar panels. The panels are 61" by 16", the exact size needed to fit two of them on the flat part on the right-side roof of the Chinook Concourse without any overhang. See picture.
These are marine-quality, slightly bendable (~5 deg) and you can walk on top of them without issues. Comparable ones in the US go for $600-$800 each.
I want three more of them for myself. If I can get 7 more panels ordered, we can get them for approx. $250-$275 each, including tax/tariff/customs/shipping. They are custom-ordered from a shop in China. (ahonypower.com) They would be shipped to the DFW area in Texas. [You'd need to take care of pickup or additional shipping from Texas].
I'd be happy to upfront the money to place the order if enough sincere folks are interested.
Let me know. Thanks!
Sean G, Arlington Texas.
p.s., There is a ban on solar panels from certain area's of China due to slave labor. A rep told me they do not source any material/parts from the area in question. Also, the company does not appear on the DHS banned list. (www.dhs.gov/uflpa-entity-list)
