Recently removed house batteries on my 2004 Concourse. Now it won’t start. Does the chassis battery need the house batteries connected. In the past low house batteries weakened the chassis battery.
Maybe just a coincidence

Re: Batteries
If the separator is going bad, it can allow the batteries to be connected all the time (or even sometimes, on a whim). If that were the case, that would explain your house batteries dragging down the starter battery. I had that same thing, and when I disconnected my house for the winter, it took me months to realize that my starter battery was going dead if I didn't run the engine every week, and that it didn't use to do that. Turned out the separator was doing something, now that it wasn't connected to the house batteries, pulling current often. When I really listened carefully with the hood up, just standing around a while, I realized it was clicking softly every few seconds when the engine was off. Disconnected the separator from the starter, and the battery was lasting 3 weeks again, like it used to.
Might not be what is happening to you, but it could be - disconnect the separator from the starter battery and see how things go.
