Just picked up my first chinook.

Just picked up my first chinook! A 2000 with 46k miles. Second owner. Going to be 4x4 converting, painting, and renovating the inside. I have experience from building out a 2020 sprinter van but fell in love with these chinooks. Stay tuned for progress updates. I’m down in San Diego if anyone is local!

Most likely going to be taking it to quadvan. Will do the shifting on the fly so no shifter is on floor.

If there is, I have yet to find it. The big names like agile off-road and weldtec won’t do it these days.

Yeah weldtec still lifts them etc. but only the 2wd ones. They told me they don’t know of anyone in this region that does the conversions anymore. Looks like I will be transporting it up north to Oregon. Unfortunately can’t drive it up there but I’ll probably end up driving it home.

You could try White Feather. They are in Red Bluff California I believe.
The guy that started White feather used to run Salem Kroger.
They do a similar conversion to Quadvan, they use the front axle
from the current Ford pickups.
