Rear awning
Rear awning
After several discussions regarding who gets to walk the dog when it is pouring down rain, I get to now stay on the steps with a long leach! (You can guess who got assigned that lovely task...Lol)
Re: Rear awning
I assume it does not interfere with the door when extended? Which brand? Looks pretty good, but it will be great if you show us how it looks when extended.

Re: Rear awning
Looks good. How far out will it extend before affecting headroom? Picture would be good.

Re: Rear awning
Here are more photos. The awning does need a little help navigating around the ladder, but it's flexible and not a big deal. Door opens all the way only the top slightly touching the awning. Candidly, I wish I had ordered a little longer version, but I'll still be dry standing on the steps.
Re: Rear awning
Can you extend the pivoting arms longer so that the awning won't touch the door, or it is already extended to the max?
There is a possibility that you maybe able to order a replacement, longer awning. It is just a piece of fabric that they cut to size...

Re: Rear awning
I can extend the arms but not enough so that it doesn't slightly touch the door... I'd need longer arms and braces and the braces are factory attached to the arms.
I guess I could get more material but I'd have to lock the spring loaded awning bar (I could probably figure how to do that), but I'm not sure how it attaches to the bar...that may be beyond my pay grade. I don't recall the longest option available on this awning, but I do remember two types of mechanisms for retracting the awning...and the other had longer arms and extensions that go to the ground...more than what I needed.
Thanks for the feedback!
