Tightening Side View Mirror on Concourse

I couldn't see a better area to post this question. I believe it could be a common problem on any E-350 Van. I am not certain I understand how to tighten the mirror (driver's side). While driving down the highway, the air resistance is strong enough to force the mirror to point away. Far enough that I can not adjust it electronically to view the side/ rear of my Concourse. I see several heads (bolts) behind the glass part of the mirror, but they don't appear to hold the shroud.

I removed the little port on the side of the mirror's arm, but fail to recognize any way to tighten (add more friction) to prevent the side view mirror from moving by the force of air friction.

I believe it could be easier than I'm making it. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I think I figured it out what you want to tighten. If you remove the white plastic cap and look into the "adjustment slot," You can tighten the mirror on to the arm with a 3/16 Allen wrench so that the mirror housing won't pivot around.

I couldn't see anything that resembled a 'set screw', and was considering I might not be looking in the correct area to tighten.

I will give a 3/16 allen wrench a try.

There is a set screw in there. It is black, and dark, so difficult to see, but if you shine the light straight in, you will see the hexagon shaped recess. A 3/16 should get fit in the set screw and allow you to tighten the housing.

thank you everyone. I didn't close this out (which I feel obligated to do since everyone was very helpful). There was a set screw in there and maybe a 3/16 allen wrench will possible work. My allan wrenches have fallen off the retainer rings, and I had a set torex wrenches on a "Swiss Army knife" style retrainer. I found a torx-30 worked perfectly for tightening down the mirror and haven't had any further issues (had it on the highway several times).
