That's the one I finally settled on (I have a collection by now ;) ). That is a good price for "nowadays" and it IS nice to have a new one. Nothing wrong with resurrecting an old one, but a brand new clean one is also nice.

Did you write that up somewhere? I have those Beverage Mate wires just doing nothing; maybe I should put them to work.

PS: Remember the good old days, when consoles were $25 or so? Luckily that's when I began "collecting" them. That said, I did pay around $100 for a brand new one pretty much just like the linked auction a couple of years ago (after they became unobtanium priced). It was NOS from a Ford dealer on eBay.

Thanks Blue-Go! Finding something for the '94 console has been tough! The doors don't even have any pockets!

Looking forward to getting her on the road! Browsing these forums has been enlightening, informative, and fun!

I used some crimped on spade lugs and sockets on the beverage mate wires so you can unplug them when removing the doghouse.

There are probably better options now, like this panel-mounted usb module:
