2004 Chinook Concourse Rear Stabilizer Bushing??

That's a good question, Mark. I too, don't have More-Ryde - just the stock Ford springs except for what I changed (shocks, anti-sway bar). I also don't know how a Chinook comparable in every other way but More-Ryde would ride compared to mine.

I did find that after I did my upgrades (beefy rear anti-sway bar especially), I got a bit of an active rear spring situation. Like harsh mini hops when going over small bumps. Not acceptable. At the time I was at a place that specializes in suspension, including lots of E-Series chassis vehicles. They said it's a common thing, and especially ambulances work to smooth it out (for obvious reasons). They were at the time interested in parabolic springs (they replace the leafs). I had just spent a bundle on various upgrades (suspension, new front end) so I made a couple of teaks, got it as good as it was before (but with *much* better handling) and called it good for that round. Those re-tweaks included a less aggressive anti-sway bar (but originally it had none) and adjustable rear shocks.

I strongly considered the Sulastic springs (these are another type of rubber link at the leaf attachment, but maybe stronger than More-Ryde?) while I was there, but I found they were not easy to choose and source in a quick fashion at that time, so I have still not tried them. I don't remember the shop thinking they looked very hard to install. Anyone here tried them?

I would be interested to know if other alternative is better. I got mine with one side broke, and not realized what it was, so I don't know how long it lasted, but it looks like original, and the rig was 17 yrs old. back then. The other side broke a few months ago, and it was like 18 yrs. This is the oldest vehicle I ever have own, so I don't know if that is acceptable for a suspension component. Obviously, the leaf springs last many decades, but I did not drive a Chinook with modified suspension to tell if which one is better. Anyone been to a Chinook rally, and tried a few configurations and noticed the difference?

I think if mine ends up failing in what I would deem a short amount of time, I will remove them and place stock shackles back there.
But there had to be a reason why Chinook added that as a XL option (I think), bc it softens up the ride.
