Cabinet doors under fridge and stove

Cabinet doors under fridge and stove

The one under my fridge is hinged on top, and the one under my microwave is hinged on the bottom. Is this the correct configuration? It just doesn’t seem right to me. I would think it would be consistent in installation.

That's interesting. The one under my fridge hinges on the bottom.
1999 Premier, now minus all passenger side cabinets and appliances :twisted:

Mine was hinged on the bottom. A guess: Bottom MDF deteriorated and would not hold hinge screws. PO moved hinges to top :roll:
