Re: New Vinyl Cab Floor
Heck, I would extend that to say why put carpet in any vehicle - unless maybe a specific luxury car. There are better materials for soundproofing and car carpet is always dirty!
Now that I got that out of my system, a question on the vinyl floor you got. Does it smell? Vinyly? At all?
Thanks,
BG
PS: Disappointing it doesn't fit better but at least now we know what to expect. If only the Ford part number was available, darnit.

Re: New Vinyl Cab Floor
Too funny about the missing seat and your dog being flummoxed. I can picture it
Your "living room" mods sound nifty. It is nice to have some cat-swinging space in there- and if you don't need to seat six people (or even three or four), then why not.
Thanks for elaborating on the vinyl floor. Without reading your review, I would have expected it to fit right in (like say the custom Husky floor mats do), so that's good info (even if it is only minor trimming).
