Anyone going to Overland Expedition East in Nov

Post by 68camaro »

Anyone else going to Overland Expedition East being held held at REEB Ranch in NC Nov: https://www.overlandexpo.com/east

I am camping onsite for the weekend and hope to bring Chinook. Due to soft camping field they will not allow 2WD in camping area if they have had or getting lots of rain. Alternative is to bring my Jeep with tent but I sooooooo want the Chinook.

Lots of neat classes and way closer than the West show held in Arizona:)

I've been to the western one a couple of times. Everything is droolworthy, from the other RV's and vehicles, to the stuff they are demoing and selling. I've never camped there, but I bet that would add a lot to the experience (I only day visited).

Would be fun to have a few Chinookers there. Skillet?

I wont be going, it states that all camp sites are sold out and they charge $20 for a pass just to wander around the sellers exhibits for an afternoon. Not my cup of tea, i dont believe in spending my money to look at stuff others are trying to sell.

I have always wanted to go to one and only catch up with what's there from Youtube videos. But like Dougm, I don't want to pay that much just to wander around vendors. $5 or 10 maybe. Even if it was that cheap I can't do that one, I'm working that weekend. But I do have a Yam festival coming up in a couple weeks!

Don't most Yam festivals are over the other side of the Atlantic?

There are also Spam festival over in Minnesota around 4th of July too. I go to the Ham version instead, which is more accessible from California.
