Natchez Trace Parkway

On the way to St. Louis from Upstate South Carolina via Lynchburg, Tennessee, Natchez Trace Parkway then off to somewhere in southern Missouri tomorrow. The Jack Daniels Distillery is about 30 minutes from Tims Ford State Park which has four full hookups and forty five electric and water sites. Not a bad place to stay. Paved bike paths too. The JD tour is great! After the tour we headed west to the Natchez Trace Parkway just to say I've driven a small piece of the 440 mile historical path/parkway and to checkout one of several free campgrounds along the parkway. Meriwether Lewis campground is at the 385 marker is very nice and free. Paved sites with nice interior paved roads. Water and a bathhouse or bathroom is provided but no electric and water sites. Dry camping. Very, very nice! Tried to stay at Loretta Lynn's Campground after the office closed and I didn't know 30 amp service isn't offered. They do have 50 amp converters but the office was closed. Now I'm listening to the Interstate at a KOA and plotting a course for tomorrow.
