I replaced my worn out bathroom fan light assembly with an upgraded Pafessa unit. The installation went very nicely and certainly appreciate the quiet operation of the fan vrs.the original.
The main thing I noticed that after turning the fan on that the door would be sucked closed. The door has a gasket seal on all edges that makes it a very tight air chamber. There’s no other “make up air” for the fan to continue venting! All you hear is a vacuum suction noise.
Therefore, if the fan is to be useful, the door has to have a small vent screen placed at the bottom 12-16”:from the floor.
If not, moisture and smells will not be effectively exhausted. Has anyone else recognized this and if so how did you allow for fresh air to enter the bathroom?
