After searching far and wide for a Chinook, a couple of months ago I found a 2005 Eagle 2100 locally and brought it home. As part of the “great refreshening” I stripped all the body decals (fortunately mine was very lightly adorned with vinyl stripes) and have had the fiberglass painstakingly wet sanded and polished to bring back the white brilliance. I’m not planning to apply stripes of any kind (other than maybe a single thin stripe). But I did want to apply new “Chinook” decals.
I found a post on this forum from another member who listed a couple of different fonts to recreate the Chinook logotype, but once I downloaded the fonts and began playing around d with them in Adobe Illustrator, they weren’t quite as close as I had hoped. I’m a retired graphic designer and everything having to do with fonts kept me awake at night for many decades.
And so, what I did was essentially trace a photo of the Chinook letters until I was happy with the results. It took more hours than I should admit, but I’d say with confidence that the result is 98% accurate. I had vinyl decals printed at a local sign shop and am just waiting for the right time to apply them.
If anyone is looking to replace their Chinook decals, I’m happy to provide the file here. It’s a PDF that can be opened in Adobe Illustrator and colors can be changed to your liking (any good sign shop should be able to do this). The logotype is ~21” long x 3” high, very close to the original size.
Note that the italic, forward-leaning letters match the driver side, front and rear on these original rigs. The passenger side featured a rear-slanting (reverse-italic) version. I didn’t care for the way that looks so did not re-create that version.
If this helps, enjoy!

Re: Chinook logotype (letters)
On my Chinook the decals are different from the driver side to the passenger side. The slant of the letters is opposite side to side.
