Chinook RV

Hi All,

Desperate to find some help and recommendations. Our 2005 Summit ( single slide) has been at the shop for 11 months with still no repair. Techs said it was because HWH took so long to get them the parts to fix the slide. We are flying to Spokane WA to drive it back to FL even though its not fully functioning because we really need it back and will stay in it with the slide in for now. Here is the issue : Slide Ram has a leak and the bladder needs to be replaced. They were able to at least get the slide lock parts after 8 months from HWH and so the slide at least won't slide in and out as we drive. We would love to know if there are any recommendations for mechanics that know Chinooks or does HWH fix it if we take it there? Anyone have any idea how long a bladder takes to get our hands on? Thank you so much for anything and everything you can offer up!

Did you contact HWH directly to see if they have the parts that you needed?

We did not because we are unaware of the exact parts needed. The shop said they did though. Hopefully will know more in detail when we pick it up on Monday to drive it back to FL.

Well, that is the price you pay when you let the shop take care of everything. I would at least try to work with the HWH people figuring out the part needed, but it often is a lot easier say than done. Anyway, it is water under the bridge at this point.
