Hi everyone, my wife and I are looking to buy a Chinook. We’ve outgrown our current camper.
We know it’s rare, but we have our hearts set on the (SE) side-entry model…the 21’ like the Concourse or Premier with the rear bed (not the larger Glacier).
If anyone has one and is considering selling it, or knows of one for sale, please contact me!
The interior layout is the main focus - we don't mind if it's the dinette or sofa model, 2wd or 4wd, gas or diesel. We know they are rare and are willing to pay the cost (within reason). We have cash in hand and are ready to purchase if/when the opportunity arises.
Thanks!
Edit: the real dream would be a 4x4 SE with the 7.3 PSD…so if you have one of those laying around…
You may want to get on the facebook group to see if anyone have one for sale. It is rare for the SE, and even more rare for the 6X6 and diesel. I think I saw one in all these years, and the 6X6 was done afterward.

Thanks! I already did post in a Chinook facebook group...we'll see if anything comes of it.
And yes, finding a diesel, 4x4 Chinook with the side entry for sale would be an extremely unlikely thing to happen so at this point just finding an SE will be our focus. I suppose we could always do an engine swap and 4x4 conversion later down the road.
Why engine swap? I curious what is about diesel that people like it that much. I would only do an engine swap after I run the gas engine to the ground, or something on it blown up.
