Dinette Table Stripped Screw Hole

I need to know the proper way to repair this. Epoxy, wooded matches, wood glue, putty?
How do I first get the metal sleeve? back in the hole? It came out with the screw which was wrapped in duct tape.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Wood glue is usually stronger that wood (well, at least pine wood). I have similar thing happened, so I did:

1, insert a thin wedge into the crack without damaging the tabletop. The reason is to make it easier to pack the wood glue into the crack.
2, use quality wood glue and pack as much into the crack as possible. Use toothpick or wood chips to push the glue into the crack
3, clamp the piece together without damaging the wood. That is, do not use metal clamp directly, but have a piece of wood to spread the pressure over a large area, etc.
4, when the wood is dried, you can repair the hole with either a larger insert (difficult to find), or pack the hole with wood glue/wood dust and redo the hole with a drill. Alternatively, you can glue the insert into the hole, but keep a screw with the insert so that the machine thread (the inside thread) is not plugged with glue when you need to assemble the hardware.

If you are wanting to keep the dinette layout, you might want to consider re-fashioning the attachment assembly rather than just repairing what is. In our 2004 Premier, I found that the original top wood support attached the the wall under the window kept coming loose—wobble when sitting at table and rattle when driving (I hate rattles!). So I removed the top brace and replaced it with a 3/4 cherry panel to match the cabinet work in our Rig. I attached it to the wall with screws (be sure they are no longer than 1 1/4 so as not to go through outside wall of Rig!) and construction adhesive. Then I routed the top 1/8” to accept the metal lip in the underside of the table. The bottom support for the swing mechanism was fine, so I left it alone. This made the table MUCH more sturdy and since you only see it when table is down and you are sleeping—think of it as a headboard for that side.
I also had to reinforce the screw holes for the swing mechanism, and for that I used wood filler and the re-drilled. I’ve been most pleased with the results. Pics attached.

Update on stripped screw hole:
I ended up wood gluing the crack, then with a mix of wood filler & glue reinserting the metal insert. I left it clamped over night.
Stuck 5 felt rounds on the outer metal lip & sparingly sprayed McLube SailKote on the inner metal lip.
All back together PLUS no more noise!
