mystery orange wire in the cab area

There are two 12V DC plugs (Molex?) that used to power the VCP and the TV. In each of the looms, there is a spare orange wire, and I have no idea what they are for. Anyone know?

Chin,
In my Premier I see a yellow spare that goes from one (TV) 12 v power plug across the over-cab to the second (VCP)12 v plug, spared at both ends. I bet you are looking at one wire, two ends. Installed for some possible future option?
One puzzle is that both plugs (unused for years now) have red and black wires, but the power for VCP at the distribution box end is orange. These are all spares for me, as the TV and player are long gone. I was a marine electrician in submarine overhauling long ago, and we included spare conductors all the time, per design.

Thanx, Roly.
Looks like you got that one there. It probably was meant to be used for the video, like a RCA jack? However, I think the yellow wire continue with the two power wire and disappear into the driver side cabinet above the window. Will need to take a closer look.
The wires are also red and black for me too. I think somewhere along route toward the DC panel, the wire changed color from red to orange.
I wish they put in spare wires for future, but unlike a custom-made, one-of-a-kind sub, they assume very few future owners will need to alter or upgrade the electrical. The weight issue in sub is not that important, but for spaceship and satellite, they can't put extra wire here and there.
(I can't tell orange and yellow apart too well).
