Chinook production numbers

Post by Flame »

I have a 1998 Chinook Concourse with a V-10 Triton motor. Does anyone know where I can find the production numbers? Particularly on my 1998 model but I'm sure others would be interested also about their rig.

The chassis number is in closet with appliance information, I don’t know if this is production number or not.

Use your vin and one of the many vin decoder sites. That could yield some info for you. Keep in mind that the model year of your "E-350" and your "Chinook" may differ and often did.

Flame, are you asking about the chassis production number (VIN) or the coach (Trail Wagon's serial number)?

I would like to have the trail wagon/chinook production number. How many did they put out in 1998? I realize Ford's production number would include way too many. I'm just looking for how many chinooks built.

I think we had tried to figure that out before, and the numbers from the group seems to make no logical sense when you look at the date when the rig was finished.

My 2000 Concourse has a 'Chassis number' of 3953 Completed Feb 2000 as stated on the original closet spec sheet. (not the last 4 of the VIN).

My 2000 Concourse chassis number is 3428, dated completed 02/01. Don’t know if this means anything or not.

For reference my Chinook Premier is Model year 2004 Chassis # 6586 completed 12/22/2003. It also says Sequence Number JA-5 whatever that might mean.

Ours is a 6/99 date of completion and is chassis number 4411. (Ford is 5/99, and the RV is listed / sold as a 2000.
Maybe at month 6, they "rounded up"?
