Chinook RV

When I have the a/c running, the water from it drains right down the front driver’s side, and down the door area. Not a huge deal, but it makes me wonder why there’s not some sort of channel up there that routes it to where it’s not just dumping randomly. We have an older toy hauler that has channels running along the outside top edges that does just that. Does it drain in the same place for everyone? I’m assuming it just goes whichever direction the vehicle is tilted. Just wondering if this has been talked about, or if anyone has a solution to channel the water to where they want it to drain. I may be wrong, but it seems as though, eventually, this could lead to staining or discoloration of the fiberglass from the constant flow.

My original roof AC just drained onto the roof. I did some thinking about reinstalling a (new) roof AC and so discovered that they make "condensate routers" that either come originally or can be added. These route the condensate to a tube. I guess usually one takes the tube down (through the rig somewhere out of sight) so it drains on the ground. I suppose you might be able to use the tube to direct the condensate another way.

I could imagine using some stick-on plastic gutter to direct the flow, but then the challenge would be that the rig isn't always flat, and when it tilts it's not always in the same direction.

On a pretty darn level surface at Asphalt rv parks mine usually always runs down the back side of my Land Shark. Has never really ever been a problem. Seems like every time we camp somewhere in it...it rains anyway!!
