I just purchased a 1988 Chinook Premier 18 and I'm in love. The front is faded from the sun, the sides look fine. Would like suggestions on getting it painted.

Do you mean the paint (colored stripes) is faded or the white fibreglass? If you are referring to the fibreglass, it is likely oxidized. You can use an oxidation remover and then polish it using a buffer. It will come out glossy and beautiful. If you are referring to the paint stripes, that's a whole lot more difficult. Leave it to a professional.

Welcome and congrats on your new Chinook!
The distinction between Premier and Concourse (up to around 2004) is important because Premier is stickers and Concourse is paint and clearcoat (for the stripes). That said, did they even make the Premier in 1988? I guess I don't know, but I also can't remember seeing a non-Concourse 21-footer of that era.
Can you clarify?
