Sealand model 511 toilet water valve leaking

I narrowed down the leak around my toilet bowl to the water valve. When I start the water pump and open the main faucet to the water valve, a small leak occurs at the very bottom of the valve, seeping from around the collar.
I found a replacement at environmental marine for $38.95.
Anyone find a better deal anywhere?

I think it is identical to the Amazon one here. Not made by Sealand, however. Probably a Chinese knockoff???

Is this a serviceable part? Being a cheapskate, I would take it apart like the faucet you just did, and put it together (with new screws), and get it to stay leak-free, to save $20.

Haha, you are funny.
But then again, I may just take it off and see if I can get it to seal again. Good idea!

Well I really lucked out!
Thanks to you, Chin, I decided to inspect the valve after removing the two retaining screws and found that the black collar at the bottom of the valve was slightly loose. Seems to have only been finger tightened or vibration could have loosened it.
So I took my pliers and tightened it about a sixteenth of a turn and turned the water on...no leaks!!!
I read somewhere that if someone unscrews that bottom part completely, they will never be able to get it back together again due to the high compression spring in there, so I didn't want to do that at first. Luckily, just tightening it resolved the issue.
Thanks again Chin for the suggestion. I probably would have just bought a new one if you hadn't said anything.
Next time you come to Seattle, I'll buy you a green tea! Sorry I missed you this last time.

Glad that it worked out for you. I was just hoping that you get a good deal if you do need to do the purchase.
