Re-positioning awning to correct location

My awning is installed too far forward about 8" so that when I try to use my generator door hold-open bracket, the awning foot bracket is in the way.
I've seen most of yours with that awning foot bracket to the left of the generator door and about midlevel of the door.
I took the awning off and found that the two front bracket are riveted on, but the rear bracket is screwed on and is a little loose.
I think I'm going to have to cut off the rivets and reposition all the brackets back about 8".
Apparently these end brackets should be installed at the each end of the awning rather than a few inches in, since a lot of stress happens there and the ends need that support.
Good thing it's a nice day today!
And yes, I lost my porch light lens but not willing to pay 14 bucks for a new one yet lol
