Found a '77 Dodge Chinook in very good condition. Everything works, well maintained with 85,000 miles.
Wants $9500. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Any old RV is all about condition/value. Kind of hard to say much without pictures or any more details.

I had a '78 once, and I would suggest inspecting the mechanical side of things rather than what she is concentrating on, which is the cosmetic and coach systems. Mine had a slide out bed above the cab. I think that would justify that price.
Mine had an issue with the carburetor warping and not being able to repair it, then finding a replacement. Also the suspension had to be completely redone. Safety first!
See my thread about it in this forum.

I recently purchased a 1975 GMC chinook concourse up in Washington State for $9000. I did have my mechanic go through it from stem to stern and he declared it in awesome shape. That being said, if it doesn't need substantial mechanical repairs I think you are in the ballpark.

I did go through and replaced all the belts and hoses for my own peace of mind. A couple hundred dollars well spent
