GFI recepticle keeps throwing

Just by accident today while plugging in a rechargeable flashlight into the GFI receptical at the inside by the back door on the shower stall side I noticed it was thrown. I pushed the reset button with the flashlight plugged in and it worked about 10 seconds and threw again. This time I removed the flashlight and hit the reset and it still threw in about 10 seconds. I have not used this receptacle before so don't know if I have always had this problem. I have only owned this 1998 concourse for a month or so. Note: I did just get finished washing the outside of the rv with a lot of water from the water hose. Think I shorted something out? Maybe water in a outside receptacle? Where should I start looking. Leaving on a 4 day trip tomorrow and now it has got me spooked!! Help

Well, I may have solved my own problem. Checked the passenger side outside receptacle for moisture after washing the rig and it was wet!!! I blew it out real good with air pressure and the gfi does not trip at all now. Yaaaay!! At least I know the safety feature is doing its job. Maybe this will help someone else out in the future. Thinking I might need to buy a new "stronger" receptacle cover and gasket. I know my cover over my cable tv/phone jack blows open everytime I go down the road. Prob. just need to replace both of them while I'm at it.

Good find!

Yep, the outside receptacle is a common cause of the GFI tripping. Sometimes just wet, sometimes corroded and needs replacement.
