Well, We have now owned our 1998 concourse for 2 weeks now...I think? First trip was only 250 miles round trip and one night stay at rv park at a Louisiana casino. Everything worked and went very well. Soooo, We are branching out little by little. This weekend will be a 5 hour drive one way to Hot Springs Arkansas. I have been a couple of times as a child but this will be my wifes first time. Funny thing, she was raised in Arkansas and never went to Hot Springs. Still under 40,000 miles on the rig but only by about 30 miles. I have that thing looking like a restored classic car!! We are so proud of it. Its 20 years old but still turns a lot of heads. Wish us luck!! Any suggestions about Hot Springs let us know.

Sweet!
I may be off on this, but isn't Hot Springs by the Ouachita Mountain Drive? If so, then that drive is highly recommended. At least I remember it being super cool when I did it like 28 years ago (I think we ended up in Hot Springs? I'll have to check a map.) One thing that I remember that was neat about it was that it follows a ridgeline, but -- very unusually -- the ridgeline runs east/west. Hence due to either north or south exposure, it was like there were two completely different climate zones (flora-wise) on each side of the road.
Have fun! I don't know if you're gonna be like me, but my Chinook was so pristine when I got it that I almost hated to use it. I know, silly. But that's how I felt. It's still nice, but after four years I can relax a little

Yes, I am like you Blue...so nice I wouldn't take it out in the rain the other day after I washed and waxed it!!! Makes things worse, I actually do restore old classic cars. I do all my own paint and body work, uphostery, carpet, headliners, mechanics etc... So I already in just the second week have built a 20x30 carport 12 foot tall for our Land Shark!! I wired it with a 30 amp rv plug and lights. Even made a roll roofing "sidewalk" all the way around the rv so we don't track dirt in each time we enter. I built a large shop that houses my 1969 Mustang Mach 1, a 1933 fordor sedan Bonnie and Clyde car, 1972 Super Beetle VW,1978 CJ7 jeep 4x4. Have built many cars and sold them. I did a 1957 Chevy that ended up in Australia!! Just a hobby but I love doing it. If we ever sell this Chinook someone will get a very nice ride. Thanks for the tip about Arkansas. We're excited.
