Heya Astro - cruising right along! Glad to hear the ol' V-10 is purring.

Good to know you were able to see the images; I don't know what you have along for viewing on so I wasn't sure. I figured posting them could save you some time hunting around online and instead keep you rolling. I'm kinda trapped inside anyway - it's obnoxiously windy where I am!

Stopped in Memphis for gas and saw a huge pyramid that turned out to be Bass Pro Shops off the I-40. It reminds me of Luxor in Vegas. I stopped there just to take it all in. More impressed with that than I would have been with Elvis’ home lol.
Btw, my signal lights work now. I borrowed a star driver st ORiellys and bought a new bulb. That’s all it was.
So far so good! On my way to see Hillary now. I wonder if she’s home haha

I remember that pyramid! They actually have free overnight RV parking there and it's a cool location (right by the river/Memphis) but I only lasted about 30 minutes. Being right under a freeway span it was crazy loud! Beyond normal freeway loud by a large margin.

Good to know the taillight fix was a success.

It took me a while to figure out how the cruise control works (I don't read manual outside of work....), and yes, there is no indicator light or anything. Mine is a 2000 chassis.

Update:
The cruise worked only once , and now it’s completely dead.
Tried messing around with brake wires, no improvement.
PO put a brake control under there so maybe that’s what messed it up. I’ll check more at home.
Blue, my scan gauge is set for tranny temp, rpm, avg mph, and voltage. I like the gauge. Thanks for informing us about it.
My avg is 10.5, but I’m cruising at 70. Sometimes it says 9999 so I’m doing quite well haha downhill foot off pedal.
My inside step inside the rig is soaked, bummer.
Not sure where from. I felt around and everything around it and above is dry. Oh well, gonna have to deal.
I looked underneath better this time, more light, and it looks pretty rusty under there. But it feels like it’s perforning well.
Will update more later. 2 hours to Amarillo, then keep on 40 to Albuquerque. Not sure why the Donner party keeps coming into my mind.

Glad it's working well for you. Another one I like to use is FWT. That shows your fresh water/coolant temperature in degrees so you can see exactly how hot the engine is running. I never trust those (typically damped) stock gauges in many vehicles. Also if you can see the temp creeping up (in normal fashion, say hoofing it up a hill) then when the cooling fan comes on your won't jump out of your skin (is a plane crashing on me?!)

Since the floor in the Chinook is flat right back to the step well, it can depend on how it was parked most of the time. In other words, the leak *could* be just above the step in the door area, but it could also be coming from somewhere else and running downhill (whichever way downhill happens to be however it's parked most of the time).

Even the Mohave is unseasonably cold right now, but at least that's 55 day/35 night not the scary single digits! You'll drop down just west of Kingman, AZ. Literally: 4000' just east of Kingman and like 1000' at the bottom of the hills just west of town.

Last chance to bail for I-10 (Well, you could go down 25 at ABQ.)

Today's weather updates from NOAA grahpical:

1) Snow looks like it won't be a factor. This basically just completely dissipates so this is the "worst" of it. Shows right now (2 p.m. MST Saturday).

2) Temperatures.... a bit chilly Shows tonight's lows:



3) Wind: None to speak of. Lucking out there, especially heading west. This shows tomorrow (Sunday) mid-day:

If you make it through tonight without becoming an icicle (questionable ), here is a look at what's ahead tomorrow and early next week:

Here is a shot of the "weather" tab for Monday morning at 5 a.m. MST. Basically, there is no "weather" along your route in California for Sun/Mon/Tues; but this shows why you don't want to hang around on I-40. Snow comes back to the I-40 corridor (where you shouldn't be by then anyway):
Here is mid-day Monday showing the entire west coast. Looked at Tuesday and that's similar. No "weather" to speak of, and light winds right up through CA/OR/WA.
Looking up into the PNW for Tuesday, just to get a feel for it. At this point, nothing to see weather wise for this point in time or times around it. Also very light wind. Just don't turn into an icicle tonight!
Speaking of not turning into an icicle, once you get west of Kingman things will shape up. Here are Sunday night's lows. Look, GREEN! It's going to feel like a sauna.
