found a bit of time to work on the rear axle, welded on the perches and decided to tackle the rear brakes. one side finished

i got my adaptors from the machine shop and bolted on my wheels

i ended up with 1.75" from the rim to the spring, with the tires i have it will be 1" bulge so i will have the .75" clearance to the spring, that is what i have with the stock axle

How much did the machine shop charge you for the adapters?

i had bought adaptors on line but forgot to tell them i was using dodge wheels and the hub centric is 1mm smaller on the dodge wheel, so they charged $80.00 to machine the hub centric on the adapter

i have both axles finished and have been gathering parts while i finish up anther project that is in the spot that the chinook is going to occupy for the transformation.it will be nice to just have the chinook on my build plate

both diffs are finished, and inspected the nv4500 tranny, 5th gear is still intact and fluid was clean, syncro teeth are in new condition, very happy with the transmission, a couple of seals to replace and 5th gear nut retainer will be put in then button it back up

moho is in front of the shop, starting to take the 460 and tranny out, i took some measurements on my 2010 f350 so i can set the caster the same, and a axle centerline so i can set the axle a 1.5" further forward
