ECU Fault Codes - Having issues climbing hills 1999 Concourse

I can't see anything in the first two pictures because they are so dark, but zooming in on the "blue circle" looks to me like something is disconnected that should be connected. The blue circle looks like an O-ring or gasket that should be covered by a mating part. I would look for a Ford dealer that serves a farming community or truck fleet that has a lot of business servicing trucks and pickups. This engine is pretty common in the F-x50 community. and I have had good service from a dealer near here in an agricultural town. (Buellton, CA).

Yes, it did look like there should be a part that covers that hole, but the shape of the intake manifold next to it is not shaped to have a part there. The first picture had the port I am referring to lit up in the center of it. It is brass with a black plastic top. I'm able to see it in the picture I uploaded most everything around it is too dark to see though.

I found a post on the Internet that says the fuel port should be on the right rear of the engine on the fuel rail. I think I found the right port. I will see if I can borrow a fuel pressure gauge from Autozone and hopefully check the fuel pressure under load.

I just noticed in the pictures I posted that the vacuum line to the FPR was not hooked up... I will button everything up and see how it runs up some hills. I can't believe the shop forgot to hook that back up!

I found a pair of pilers under the Chinook one time, and I found a 7/8 crescent wrench in the engine compartment after the Ford dealer did an oil change for me on my passenger car. I don't think anyone need a 7/8 wrench to do oil change. See if there is any freebies for you inside the doghouse.

I replaced the FPR and took it up 9 mile hill here in Albuquerque. She ran great. No check engine light or ECU faults. I will take it to Santa Fe again this weekend and hopefully that trip will prove my engine troubles with the rv are over.

So hopefully it is just the regulator (FPR) issue. It is great it is documented here so that others who run into issue can see this and get the issue resolved without going thru the entire troubleshooting.

I just replaced the FPR for the heck of it. The shop said it was good. The shop forgot to connect the vacuum line for the FPR. That is what caused all the ECU fault codes this last time.

I took it on the drive to Santa Fe today and got multiple CELs. Cylinder 2 and 6 misfires. I have had a cylinder 10 misfire in the past also. I'm going to replace the COPs tomorrow and see if that helps. It ran fine downhill and the straights, but was misfiring on the steep hills.
