Can't you just rent a flat bed trailer and use your Chinook to bring it back, or it is actually more flexible/cheaper to get the Uhaul? Majority of these shipper are not that reliable, and it is amazing that they actually make money at all with competitions out there. At least they have tracking available, and you can see where things are. I think you will be even more displeased if you did not know and drove there with the UHaul and found out that they are still sitting in the St. Louis.

Just in case i failed to mention it, this company is Central Transportation.

I was thinking that you are going to bring the whole pallet home with the UHaul truck. I just suggest that maybe it will be cheaper to get a flat bed trailer, and use the Chinook to tow it.... probably not making much of a difference in price, but the mileage fee can adds up on the truck (20 cents a mile?) but there is no mileage fee for trailer, IIRC.

Sounds like it is a real odyssey for the shipment. Talking about ordering from fast food restaurant, they forget to put fries or drink with mine again. I have been bringing someone with me to check the order when I do drive-thru, since they often mess up the order like 20% of the time. Maybe we need to pay these workers 30 dollars an hours to get reasonable service out of them.
